The Executive

Executive member : Constable Phil Griffiths

I have been in the Police Service since January 1992 and spent the first four years in  uniform  at Birkenhead Police Station.  I then transferred to the plain clothes section and focused mainly on drug related crime within the Wirral.
I passed an authorised fireams officers course and transferred to the Armed Response Unit in 1997 where I have remained since specialising in various roles under the Firearms umberella.

During my police career working across the force area I have dealt with countless situations involving people from  a wide variety of races and backgrounds.  My wife Karen is also an executive member of the BPA and we do not always agree on controversial subjects which makes for an interesting home life.

I do not claim to be fully aware of all the cultural issues that arise within our Force area but I am willing to learn.

I am open and honest and willing and able to speak to colleagues on a one to one basis.  I am supportive and treat information confidentially giving advice and reassurance.  If I don't know the answer I'll know someone who does! In every thing I have done in my private and work life I have always given it 110% as I will the BPA.
